2012 JSHS Registration
Regional Winners MUST be registered within 5-10 business days of their qualifying Regional Fair.
The JSHS Competition is for High School Students (grades 9-12).
Middle School Students (grades 7-8) compete in the State Fair Paper Competition.

Eligibility
Each High School student in grades 9-12 will have an opportunity to enter the Minnesota Academy of Science Junior Science and Humanities Symposium through 1 of 2 paths. NOT BOTH WAYS.


Path_1: Regional Fair Competition - Submit a paper to your Regional Science Fair. If you are one of the winners from your region, you will automatically be qualified to compete in the North Central Regional JSHS at State. Details will be provided by your regional science fair director.

2/24/2012 - Reg DEADLINE - South Central/Southwest Regional Fair
2/28/2012 - DEADLINE for Mentor Award nominations
3/2/2012 - Reg DEADLINE - Twin Cities Regional Fair
3/2/2012 - Reg DEADLINE - Northern Regional Fair
3/2/2012 - Reg DEADLINE - Central Regional Fair
3/5/2012 - DEADLINE for SRC paperwork
3/9/2012 - Reg DEADLINE - General Registation
3/9/2012 - Reg DEADLINE - Southeast Regional Fair


Path_2: Open Paper Competition - Submit a paper to the JSHS Open Competition. If you are one of the winners from this competition, you will be qualified to compete in the North Central Regional JSHS competition.
Open Comp Registration is now closed

Please note: You may only submit your paper to one of the two paths mentioned above. Papers submitted to both competitions will be disqualified.


All JSHS participants must Register Online.

Student Presenters who attending JSHS will need to register online, pay $70 and will need to print, fill out and mail (or email) these forms:

    The cost for Student Presenters for JSHS is $70 and includes:
  		• Entry into JSHS competition
  		• Program
  		• Sat Dinner / entertainment / Opening ceremony / Speaker
  		• Game Room
  		• Awards ceremony
  		• Sling sack
  		• Sun Breakfast with Scientists
  		• Complimentary Membership in the MN Academy of Science


    Parents, Teachers and Siblings (2 options to choose from)
    1.) Full Registration
    $70 - Full Registration includes:
  		• Sat Dinner / entertainment / Opening ceremony / Speaker
  		• Awards Ceremony
  		• Program
  		• Sun Breakfast
  		• Complimentary Membership in the MN Academy of Science

    2.) a la cart options
    $30 - Saturday Night JSHS Meal Ticket + Speaker

    $20 - Sunday Breakfast JSHS Meal Ticket

    FREE - Sat Paper Presentations and Sun Awards Ceremony (Standing room only. To participate in meal and speaker you will need to purchase a meal ticket as described above.)
