Open Competition
Students will have an opportunity to enter the Minnesota Academy of Science Junior Science and Humanities Symposium through an open competition. Students will be selected from this competition based upon the merits of their written research papers. Those who are selected to present will be asked to compete at the Tri-State JSHS Symposium (Sat Mar 19 - Sun Mar 20, 2011).

Eligibility:
  • Minnesota: Any student in grades 9 through 12 who will NOT be submitting their research paper to a 2011 Regional Science Fair Paper Competition may enter the Open Competition.
  • Dakotas: Any student in grades 9 through 12 who will NOT be submitting their research paper to the 2011 North Dakota Academy of Science or South Dakota Academy of Science Annual Meeting may enter the Open Competition.
Registration is now closed
All Open Competition papers must be submitted by 1/15/2011
